Derya Taspinar is an intern for Vote Climate U.S. PAC. She is currently a senior at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School (B-CC). She is an accomplished AP student who has a strong interest in environmental science and social sciences. She is a member of the National Honor Society, a Website Editor and Art Illustrator for the school magazine, “The Tattler”. She is also Co-creator and Co-host of the podcast titled “The Unpopularity Contest,” which allows for discussion of “unpopular” views from teenagers at large. Derya is also a pianist and manager on the Girls Varsity Tennis Team at B-CC. She is passionate about climate action, social justice, and working towards building a healthier society through improved communications across various groups.
