In the hottest race in the country, Vote Climate U.S. PAC endorses Jon Ossoff in Georgia’s 6th district special election to be help on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. This is the seat formerly held by Newt Gingrich.

On his website, Ossoff says,”There is a clear scientific consensus that climate change is driven by human activity and that it threatens global prosperity, health, and security. This is not just the opinion of activists; it is the studied conclusion of our country’s distinguished scientists. Our military and intelligence agencies agree. Jon will oppose efforts to undo the climate change agreement reached last year in Paris and will work to make the United States a global leader against climate change.” His opponent does not mention climate change on her website, and in a video-taped debate, seems to think this international emergency is about nothing more than puddles in your back yard.

Ossoff is ahead in the polls by 1%. In other words, it’s virtually tied. This critically important race will help demonstrate whether we can take back Congress for climate in 2018. Vote climate on June 20th.
